The SOURCE AUDIO SA168 MIDI Adapter enables MIDI control of “One Series” pedals without a 5-pin MIDI DIN terminal, including the C4 SYNTH and SPECTRUM FILTER.
It is bus-powered, has a compact body, and is compatible with standard MIDI controllers.
Using MIDI PC (Program Change) messages, it is possible to instantly switch between presets saved in the main unit. Using MIDI CC (Continuous Controller) messages, it is possible to change parameters in real time via the expression pedal. In addition, it is also possible to synchronize with LFO modulation and sequencer rates using MIDI clock messages.
While the Neuro Hub allows you to control a total of five One Series or Soundblox 2 Series pedals simultaneously, there are some barriers to its adoption for users who want to use the pedals individually or in conjunction with other brands of MIDI-compatible pedals, such as the need to make space on the pedal board for the Neuro Hub and the complexity of the connection and settings.
Using the MIDI Adapter allows you to achieve a simple and compact MIDI connection, making it easier to use One series pedals with MIDI control.
One MIDI adapter is required for each pedal when sending MIDI messages from the adapter's “MIDI THRU” to other One series pedals (models that do not have a 5-pin MIDI DIN terminal).
* A separate 1/8” TRS (or TRRS) cable is required to connect MIDI Adapter ① (MIDI THRU) to MIDI Adapter ② (MIDI IN).
* It is not possible to send MIDI messages directly from MIDI THRU to the pedal.
One series of pedals can switch in response to MIDI PC (program change) messages, but the “Neuro Desktop Editor” allows you to control parameters using MIDI CC (continuous control) messages.
