MARSHALL / The Guv'nor

The Guv'Nor was designed and released in 1988 by Marshall engineer Steve Grindrod, who was tasked with “incorporating the sound of the Marshall stack into a pedal.” The distinctive appearance and internal circuitry faithfully reproduce the original down to the smallest detail.

Effects loop: Y insert send/return loop
Controls: Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble and Level controls.

In addition, due to the nature of the material, there may be cases where the printing on the outer box is worn off. Please understand this in advance.

10年以上前学生の時に、英国製のガバナーを先輩が使っていてあこがれていました。あの時のサウンドがよみがえるようなビンテージと遜色のないサウンドになっていると思います。EQの効きもとてもよく、この一台でカラッとしたクランチサウンドから、レゾナンスの効いたディストーションサウンドまでしっかり表現ができ、そのどれもがすぐにマーシャル！と分かる仕上がりになります。

復刻版ても買えてよかった??

数年前から探しに探して、新品はどこも扱いないし、中古も中々良い出物に出会えない中で、ようやく見つけることができました！
普段音出しする際は、MG15をフルに鳴らしてましたけど、夜間ヘッドホンアンプ使いでインターフェースで録音する際に欲しかったので、今回購入できて本当に良かったです。
手持ちのアッシュストラトを鳴らすと、まさにカリフォルニアジャムのリッチーのあの音が鳴ります。
大口径スピーカーの雰囲気は出ませんが、私には十分です。
それにしても、私が買った翌日に1.5倍の値上げ、ラッキーでした（^_^；）

ビンテージは買うな

ガバナーのビンテージも持ってますが、どれだけ再現できているのか試したく現行品を買ってみました
結果としてタイトル通りです
音の違いは、ほぼないです。感じたのは経年による音の細り程度で
EQもしっかりと機能しています。
音色の説明は難しいのですが、色々なアンプやシングル、ハムと弾き比べて抜け良いマーシャルサウンドになりました。ただ、ＢＯＸのアンプだけ音のこもりを感じましたが、それぞれの好みもあるでしょう。私はぬけの悪さを感じBOXとの相性は良くないと感じました。あくまで個人感想です
今回の６０周年記念の復刻版は優秀ですね。ビンテージに拘りが無いのであれば高い値段を出さずとも当時の音が手にはいります
