D'Angelico / Premier Bedford, Oxblood

Premier Bedford is a solid body model with the original 13.25" (336.55mm) wide, 1960s-inspired original offset body shape.

The pickguard's original shape, which is typical of Di Angelico, is reminiscent of part of the f-holes and matches the body color.
The headstock and neck are decorated with binding and combined with white pearloid block position markers.
The body material is selected hardwood wood materials such as maple neck and Oban Cole fingerboard.
The neck finish is satin with a 24.75" scale, and the neck joint is a unique heel-less design that allows the neck to reach deep into the body (covering the entire front pickup) like a thru-neck, which provides a larger gluing area and gives it both playability and strength at high frets. The "set-through" neck joint provides both playability and strength at high frets.
It also has a dual-action truss rod, which is adjusted on the head side.
The distinctive headstock design continues the D'Angelico tradition.
The truss rod cover is made of aluminum and has a strong presence inspired by the skyscrapers of New York City with its Art Deco architecture (such as the Empire State Building), which was popular in New York City around 1930.
Pickups are Seymour Duncan-designed cream-covered P90-1 single coils (neck and bridge) layout.
Controls are 1 volume, one tone, and a 3-way pickup selector layout.
The hardware is chrome with Grover Super Rotomatic, steerer step buttons, and a 6-point tremolo. The body is a gloss finish.
