IK Multimedia / TONEX Capture is an all-in-one gear that allows you to easily capture the tone of your amp. Provides an ideal way to model equipment using TONEX software. In addition to modeling, it can also be used for re-amping and amp recording.

■Tone modeling/reamp compatible gear

TONEX Capture has two attenuation stages that allow you to optimize the level between your audio interface and amplifier.
First, connect the output of your audio interface to TONEX Capture's LINE INPUT, and use the ATTENUATION control on the left side of the front panel to attenuate it to the optimal level for your amp.
Next, input the amplified signal to FROM AMP, and use the ATTENUATION control on the right side of the front panel to attenuate it to the optimal level for your audio interface.
In this way, by exchanging signals at appropriate levels, it is possible to accurately capture the behavior of the amplifier.


Capture your rig freely
With TONEX Capture, setting up to capture your rig is very simple. Connect your amps, combos, and pedals to your audio interface and use TONEX software to create high-quality Tone Models.


Amplifier (direct)

- Use the ATTENUATION control on the left side of the front panel to attenuate the signal input from the audio interface to the LINE INPUT to the optimal level for the amplifier.
- Use the ATTENUATION control on the right side of the front panel to attenuate the signal input from the amplifier to FROM AMP to the optimal level for the audio interface.

This method allows you to record at home without the need for a soundproof room or microphone. Captured directly from the amp, the Tone Model allows you to finalize your tone using hundreds of authentic virtual cabinets and IRs powered by TONEX's VIR? technology.

*Even when capturing directly from the amplifier, be sure to connect a speaker cabinet or load box to the “TO CABINET” terminal to prevent damage to the amplifier.


Amplifier + cabinet

If you have a microphone and recording space, you can also capture the sound including the cabinet.

・Create the output from the audio interface into an appropriate signal via TONEX Capture and input it to the amplifier.
・Collect the sound from the cabinet with a microphone and input it to the audio interface

This method allows you to accurately capture the entire tone of your rig, including the cabinets. TONEX's AI Machine Modeling is so advanced that you can even isolate the sound of the cabinet afterwards.


Amp + Cabinet & Direct

Build your best guitar/bass tone by capturing both the direct signal from your amp and the amp + cabinet.

・Connect the direct signal from FROM AMP and the microphone signal that collects the cabinet at the same time
・TONEX software captures both microphoned and direct signals for tone modeling

TONEX Capture's FROM AMP circuit is passive, so it won't load your amplifier or add any extra coloration to your tone.

TONEX Capture allows you to capture pedals and create Tone Models, or to add analog textures to recorded sounds by passing them through a hardware pedal.

・Connect your audio interface and pedal using TONEX Capture's TO AMP circuit
・Return the pedal to the instrument input of the interface
