D'Angelico / Premier SS, Sky Blue

The Premier SS is a semi-hollow body model with the original 15" (381mm) wide, 1.75" (44.45mm) thick single cutaway shape and center block construction.

The original shaped pickguard, typical of Di Angelico, is a 5-ply tortoise shell pattern.
The binding on the body top, headstock, and neck is decorated with white pearloid block position markers.
The body material is Maplelee, and the wood materials include maple neck and Oban Cole fingerboard.
The neck finish is gloss, with a 25" scale and set neck joint.
It also has a dual-action truss rod, which is adjusted on the head side.
The distinctive headstock design continues the D'Angelico tradition.
The truss rod cover is made of aluminum, and its design has a sense of presence inspired by the skyscrapers of New York City, which had famous Art Deco architecture (such as the Empire State Building) around 1930.
It has two metal-covered Seymour Duncan-designed HB-102N humbuckers and HB-101B humbuckers.
Controls are a 2-volume, 2-tone, 3-way pickup selector layout.
Hardware is all chrome, with steer-step button rotomatic type tuners, tune-o-matic & stop bar tailpiece.
