D'Angelico / Premier EXL-1 Satin Honey Blonde

Premier EXL-1 is a center block single cutaway hollow model Premier with a 17-inch maple body.

The Premier EXL-1, the original 17" (431.8mm) wide, 3" (76.2mm) thick single-cutaway hollow body, is now available in Satin Walnut and Satin Honey Blonde.
The original-shaped pickguard, which is typical of Di Angelico, is a 5-ply tortoise shell pattern. The body top and back, headstock, and neck are decorated with binding, combined with mother-of-pearl acrylic block position markers.
The body material is a spruce top, flamed maple sides, and back, and it is made of wood materials such as maple neck and Oban Cole fingerboard.
The neck finish is satin with a 25.5" scale and set neck joint.
It also has a dual-action truss rod, which is adjusted on the head side. The distinctive headstock design continues the D'Angelico tradition.
The truss rod cover is made of aluminum, and its design has a sense of presence inspired by the skyscrapers of New York City, which had popular Art Deco architecture (such as the Empire State Building) around 1930.
The pickup has a single Duncan-designed floating mini-humbucker on the fingerboard end.
Controls are incorporated in the pickguard and consist of one volume and one tone.
Hardware is unified in chrome, with Grover Super Rotomatic tuners with steer-step buttons, an Oban Cole bridge with overall string height adjustment, and a steer-step trapeze tailpiece.
