The SpeakON (Speakon) STXX series is a flame retardant enhanced IEC 62368-1 compliant series from the STX series of connectors for speaker and power amplifier connections, specially designed for use in harsh environments. The metal housing and internal gasket provide high durability and meet the protection class IP54 for 4-pin and IP50 for 8-pin. In addition, the cable connectors allow direct male-to-female extensions, and the receptacle connectors are EP-compatible in panel mounting sizes.
For all NEUTRIK products with black metal bodies, the specifications have been changed to improve the surface finish of the housing for deliveries from mid-August 2023 onwards. The conventional black chrome plating has been replaced by a KTL coating, which eliminates the need for an oiled finishing process, thus eliminating the unevenness of each product depending on the amount of oil applied.
In addition, the modified product is not conductive and is completely insulated. If conductivity is required, choose the nickel-plated version (silver body).
