CineHarpsichord is a modern arrangement of the 1624 Iohannes Ruckers Colmar harpsichord, hand-sampled on the legendary MGM Scoring Stage at Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles.

With four stops and three different sound characters, the CineHarpsichord is suitable for scoring and classical applications.

There are three harpsichord patches, each based on a unique mix.

・01 CineHarpsichord
・02 Baroque
・03 Vintage

The main mix, 01 CineHarpsichord, includes FULL, CLOSE, ROOM and SURROUND mixes, just like the other libraries. The mix presets on the left allow for different mix perspectives: Tim's Mix (main mix), Dry and Close, Orch Left and Right, and custom mixes that can be saved.

Because the harpsichord is a percussive instrument, the close mics are delayed to align them with the room and surround mics in time to prevent the typical flaming effect. This delay is applied to the FULL and CLOSE mixes.

The 02 Baroque mix is ​​very specific in every respect: perspective, image and timbre shape. Therefore, one stereo fader is enough. This is a more ambient mix, with no time-aligned delay for a silkier sense of distance, and with the touch of the close mics.

The 03 Vintage mix is ​​also so unique in every way that one stereo fader is enough.

This mix prioritizes a closer perspective with tape emulation and discrete outboard analog processing including Chandler EQ and tube harmonic distortion.
