Tina Guo vol. 2 is a valuable extension of the original Tina Guo Acoustic Cello Legato library, using the same unique seamless legato recording and programming technology. vol. 2 legato with more agile melodic passages, additional articulations such as spiccato, marcato, harmonics, sul ponticello, and vibrato pizzicato.
The Vol. 2, combined with the original library, provides a complete combination of Tina's solo acoustic cello. TTina Guo's vol.2 was recorded at the legendary MGM Scoring Scoring Stage at Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles.
■Articulation Introduction
Attack overlay
Applies a staccato attack to the rising sustain. Its volume depends on velocity. It is displayed at high velocity. The sustained attack is also affected by velocity.
Legato.
Records legato with a monophonic tone. If not selected, only polyphonic sustain samples will be used. The legato transition depends on velocity.
∞ Bow.
If unselected, include Tina's natural bow transition for sustained notes. When selected, the bow length can be extended as needed. If a bow change is needed for the same note, attack that note again.
...Release Volume
Adjusts the volume of the note's release. If set too high, the reverberation and decay will sound too loud. If set too low, legato transitions will sound unnatural.
Legato Speed (CC02)
Set too high for fast playing. If it is set too low, the recorded legato transitions will be more precise.
Modulation Wheel
The modulation wheel controls overall dynamics.
Other articulations include the following.
Open Strings - Sustain the four open strings of the cello.
Sur Ponticello - Sustain the four open strings of the cello.
Harmonics
Spiccato
Marcato - short, extended espressivo-style notes.
Vibrato pizzicato

Tina Guo has had a multifaceted international performing and recording career as a classical acoustic cellist, heavy metal electric cellist, erhu player, and composer. Her distinctive sound and improvisational style have been featured in music for major motion pictures, television, and video games. Taking her formal training at USC to new musical heights, Tina enjoys experimenting with a wide range of effects and digital processors and is constantly expanding her sound.
Tina has punched through most of her live performances, and her numerous appearances on arena stages have taken her all over the world, including Denmark, Greece, Sweden, Germany, Russia, Spain, Italy, France, Japan, and England. His talents have been showcased at the Grammy Awards, American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, Sundance Film Festival, Tenerife Film Festival, Comic-Con, League of Legends World Championships, and other live film and game events, as well as television events.
