CinePiano is a modern follow-up to the popular Piano in Blue library. A concert grand piano was hand-sampled at the legendary MGM Scoring Stage at Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles, applying many of the same recording and sampling techniques and microphones as Piano in Blue. With four different sound characters, CinePiano is sure to be the most versatile piano library.

We recorded a stunning 9-foot grand piano at the MGM Scoring Stage at Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles. Our goal was to record a detailed piano library on the same scoring stage as our flagship CineSymphony library, providing four different characters of the piano through various microphones and mixing techniques, for seamless integration.

・CinePiano
A standard representation of a grand piano on a scoring stage, using an M49 and a room array. Close, room and surround microphone mixes are available in this patch.

・Classical
The classical mix is ​​a slightly more distant mix with a different microphone combination to create a concert feel. This is a very special mix, so it is the only mix available in this patch.

・Cinematic
The cinematic mix is ​​a very intimate and muted sound, perfect for cinematic textures. This mix is ​​made with a completely unique microphone set and mixing technique. This is the only mix available in this patch, so it is a very special mix.

・Rock Studio Grand
Rock Studio Grand is a brighter, punchier, edgier sound that relies more on mixing technique, with a slight distortion on the attack that cuts through heavy mixes. This is a very special mix, and is the only one that can be used with this patch.
