The CineBrass Core Library is Cinesamples' orchestral brass sample library for Kontakt. Recorded at the legendary MGM Scoring Stage at Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles, it was created by veteran and legendary engineer Dennis Sands (Oz: the Great and Powerful, Argo, Avengers, Back to the CineBrass Core covers the essence of an orchestral brass section and serves as the basis for our compositional templates. Cinesamples' Adaptive Legato Engine
CineBrass CORE v1.7 has the Cinesamples Adaptive Legato Engine found in CineStrings SOLO, CineStrings CORE, CineWinds CORE, and PRO, rebuilt from the ground up. It is designed to respond musically to your playing by allowing you to adjust the legato response to suit your playing style. The engine detects your playing speed and intelligently adjusts the interval speed accordingly. This means you can play slow, expressive lines and fast runs all at once without having to touch the speed dial. In addition, the intensity parameter responds to velocity.

True Legato Patch
True legato means that all of the pitch leaps throughout the range of each brass section have been sampled, both upward and downward.
When you play a True Legato Patch, it instantly analyzes the pitches you play and recreates the appropriate transitional leaps between notes. The result is smooth, realistic legato playing.
We did this in every section, at two dynamic levels, and in addition, used dynamic morphing to blend seamlessly from piano to fortissimo.
An essential feature of the True Legato Patch is the Polyphonic Legato mode. This mode allows two or more notes to be played simultaneously while maintaining the proper transition samples between all notes. This is especially effective when playing chords that need to be realistically connected. These actual legato patches are taken from the full articulation patch, which can be triggered by holding down the pedal in the full articulation patch.

All of the articulation patches in CineBrass contain shorts of various lengths and dynamics, as well as sustain. The following are included with multiple repetitions per note and multiple dynamics.

Sustains with smooth dynamic morphing

In addition, all mappings in Articulations Patches are dynamic and can be selected from five intuitive presets in the user interface. For users who wish to customize parameters outside of the presets, a custom mapping grid is provided. All parameters and values are adjustable, and almost any combination is possible. Of course, less savvy users are encouraged to use one of the five preset mappings.
