Since 1961, the Casino has been Epiphone's legendary best-selling archtop and has remained a rock and roll standard.
When it was first introduced in 1961, the Casino was just one model within a new thinline archtop series designed and built at a new factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The factory shared its environment with former rival Gibson, with whom it had just partnered.
The situation changed when Keith Richards used the Casino to record a demo of "Satisfaction" for Chess Records in Chicago during the Rolling Stones' 1965 U.S. tour.
Howlin' Wolf used the Casino on his first U.K. tour, appearing on the T.V. show "Think Your Lucky Stars.
Soon after, John Lennon and George Harrison of The Beatles bought a casino for their 1966 world tour, and the rest is history.
The guitar features Epiphone P-90T dog ear single coil pickups and basswood top bracing on a 5-ply maple body.
