Since its introduction in 1959, the Wilshire has been one of Epiphone's most successful original solid-body electric guitar designs.
The newly released Wilshire P-90 brings back many of the specifications of the earlier Wilshire models, including a symmetrical double-cutaway mahogany body with two PRO P-90 soapbar pickups, a Kalamazoo headstock with triple tuners per side, Epiphone Deluxe tuning machines with ivory knobs and an Epiphone bikini badge on the headstock, and a butterfly-cut tortoiseshell pickguard with foil E logo.
It is equipped with a full range of specifications, including a mahogany neck with a medium C-shaped neck profile, a 12-inch radius fingerboard made of Indian laurel, 22 medium jumbo frets, 2 volume/2 tone controls, an Epiphone LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and a stopbar tailpiece.
