The Epiphone “Inspired by Gibson” SG Standard revives the legendary 1960s SG sound that greatly influenced and contributed to the first generation of hard rock and heavy metal such as The Who, Cream, AC/DC, and Black Sabbath.
In accordance with the specifications of the past, it features a “Bat Wing” pickguard, two Epiphone Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers, and Epiphone Deluxe tuners with an 18:1 ratio.
In addition, the appeal is further enhanced by a number of carefully selected specifications, including a Kalamazoo headstock, a rolled neck for comfortable playability, a GraphTech NuBone nut, CTS pots, and wiring that follows the same manufacturing methods as in the past.
