Developed in collaboration with Gibson Custom Shop, this guitar reproduces the Les Paul SG that first appeared in 1961!

In collaboration with the Gibson Custom Shop, Epiphone has beautifully recreated one of the most important and popular guitar designs in history as an Inspired by Gibson model.

The Epiphone 1961 Les Paul SG Standard pays homage to the legendary original SG.

In 1961, the original Les Paul model shape was abandoned in favor of an entirely new design known today as the SG (Solid Guitar).

The two-piece solid mahogany, double-cutaway body features a beveled finish that makes use of the Custom Shop's signature design, while the neck features a one-piece mahogany, slim-taper C-shaped neck profile found on the legendary early Les Paul SG models.

With a long pickguard that mimics the original specifications, Gibson BurstBucker humbucking pickups wired with CTS potentiometers and Mallory capacitors, a Graph Tech nut, a Switchcraft output jack and toggle switch, this guitar is as good as it gets.

The tuner knobs feature the historic double-ring design.
It has all the legendary SG styling and looks, and comes with a vintage-style hardshell case.
