The Academic Edition is a value-priced product with the same contents and functionality as the standard version. There are no restrictions on the period of use (you can continue to use the software after you graduate from school). One license is granted per user. (Up to five computers may be installed.) Product updates, maintenance, and other support will be provided the same manner as for the regular product. The purchased product may not be transferred, resold, or reprinted to any third party other than the purchaser.

To use the Academic Edition, you must apply to use the Academic Edition. Please purchase the product first and complete the application procedure after receiving the product. If you do not apply for the Academic Edition, you will lose the right to continue using the software.

Smart Templates offer an unprecedented and unique combination of preconfigured tracks and channels with customized user interface features that display only the functionality you need and automatically download the content you need.

Customizable User Interface Studio One is powerful recording software that provides all the tools you need to compose, mix, produce, master, and perform in one software package. There is rarely a need to perform all tasks at once, and Studio One 6's new Customization Editor makes it convenient and easy to show or hide almost any tool or feature. Changes are applied instantly, so you can show or hide features as needed to create a streamlined, task-focused workflow.

Beginners and professionals can customize the Studio One interface to suit their needs. Customizations can be saved and recalled anytime, and a basic workflow is provided to get started on a task before inspiration fades.

Panning Mode Panning modes can now be selected on stereo channels. Balanced, dual, or binaural panning can be selected for any stereo channel. The new Panner Popup Editor provides large pan controls, context menus for mode switching, and dedicated controls for each mode. Basic balance controls continue to be available in all mixer views, and it also has standard pan controls for external hardware controllers.

About the download card
A postcard-sized card containing a product code (serial number), user registration, and instructions on obtaining the software will be enclosed in a special envelope. Upon registration, you will receive a Startup Guide and a Key Command Guide explaining the procedure.
