It is a next-generation 64-bit digital audio workstation constantly evolving for unparalleled sound quality and an intuitive, speedy music production environment without being bound by history or stereotypes. The efficient single-window interface deploys unlimited tracks, intuitive editing tools, and advanced virtual instruments. Mastering is also available on a single screen. Drag-and-drop operation eliminates complex menu hierarchies, allowing you to focus solely on music production.
Major New Features
Smart Templates Studio One 6's new Smart Templates provide the toolset you need for everything from basic recording to stem mixing, from album mastering to live setup. Templates can also easily play instruments or produce podcasts with a single click. Templates can also include convenient drop zones that make importing audio, video, MIDI files, and other necessary content easy. Some templates include interactive tutorials with operating instructions and links to related video content.
Smart templates offer an unprecedented and unique combination of preconfigured tracks and channels with customized user interface features that display only the functionality you need and automatically download the content you need.
Global Video Tracks Video content just got better! Studio One 6 makes composing and designing sound for your videos even easier. The new Global Video Track offers Studio One's iconic drag-and-drop intuitive video workflow and works with the video player window. Video clips can be added by simply dragging video files onto the timeline, and the new Video Track can contain an unlimited number of video clips, allowing for multiple feature-length film reels to be processed in a single session. Video thumbnails are also automatically generated, and previews are provided for easy navigation.

An easy-to-use Replace option allows for quick replacement with a newer edit of the same video at the same timecode position. Editing embedded audio separately from the video is as easy as dragging and dropping audio events onto the main arrangement's audio track.
Mixer Channel Overview The new channel overview provides a centralized view of all channel parameters, including input controls, inserts, sends, and cue mix sends for the selected channel. This view is available as a new tab in the channel editor window, can be pinned to any screen, and follows the channel selection. The channel overview is ideal for quickly and intuitively manipulating the sound of a single channel with multiple plug-ins without opening a dedicated plug-in editor.
