KarDiaN, a pedal brand founded in 2017, has released the TS pedal ""Serotonin 5th"" to celebrate its 5th anniversary. It is being released in a limited edition of 150 units worldwide, using vintage parts. The LEDs and knobs are printed in a unified cyber green, firmly imprinting the ""Ibanez TS5 Tube Screamer"" that was used as the reference this time.

To commemorate ""KarDiaN 5th Anniversary"", we will reconstruct this adorable pedal colored in black and green. KarDiaN originally released ""Serotonin"", which was developed based on the Tube Screamer. This time, we have created the original design ""Serotonin 5th"" based on this and our own interpretation of the actual ""Ibanez TS5 Tube Screamer"" owned by Kitada. Not only does it have a 2EQ tone stack that the TS5 does not have, but it is an extreme high-gain pedal that further pushes the high-gain Tube Screamer, a feature of the TS5.

The ""Serotonin 5th"" has a special commitment to its parts. It is no exaggeration to say that the opportunity to make this pedal was to secure 150 Toshiba TA75558P op-amps, which were also used in the actual machine. The graininess of this op-amp, similar to the fuzz when the gain is increased, creates distortion that is characteristic of the TS5. In addition, to bring it to a much higher gain point than the regular TS5 and Serotonin, we used the ERO MKP1845 from Ernst Roederstein of Germany. This allowed us to suppress unnecessary high and low frequencies when gaining up, while still creating a sound with a strong core. In addition, by changing the transistor used as a buffer to the Isahaya Electronics 2SK2880, a sound with a strong mid-stickiness is created. The electrolytic capacitors around the power supply have also been changed to the 100uF KEMET A750 series to achieve noise countermeasures compatible with high gain.
