FLAME / μMCLK

MIDI clock and analog clock can be divided and output at various rates.

μMCLK is a divider module that divides and outputs MIDI or analog clock.

The divider outputs are assigned separately for both operating modes.

When a MIDI Start command is received, μMCLK functions as a MIDI clock divider. The 11 outputs have a fixed divide rate. The KEYS output is a special output jack that allows you to change the divide rate by receiving MIDI notes in the three octaves. When multiple notes are received, multiple divide rates are mixed and output. The LEARN key can be used to set the receiving MIDI channel and the lowest note of this three octave range.

When the μMCLK stops receiving MIDI clock (after receiving a MIDI Stop command or immediately after powering on), it functions as an analog clock divider and divides the analog clock at the CLOCK input. The 12 analog divider outputs can be reprogrammed via SysEx. Ready-made SysEx files are available on the Flame product page and are ready to use. (Examples: even/odd divider, Fibonacci series, offbeat, etc.) The RESET input resets the analog counter or deactivates the analog divider.

*This product does not come with a TRS MIDI cable. If you use a DIN 5 Pin MIDI cable (a common MIDI cable), please prepare a separate conversion adapter (TRS-B standard).
