""Mira"" is a Spanish word that means ""Look!"" and has the meaning of attracting attention. The Mira Optical Compressor produces studio-grade sound that requires delicate hearing and feeling, dynamically captivating the five senses.

Mira is a true bypass unit, and is packed with the controls you'd expect from a studio unit. Adjusting each control provides warm analog compression with a pleasant sustain and smooth attack and release.

In order to provide high headroom, Mira also operates at ±15VDC internally.

Abundant studio-grade controls

■BLEND
Adjusts the amount of compressed signal mixed with the dry signal.

By mixing the two signals, you can get a sustained sound while maintaining clarity.

■Make-Up
You can make up for the volume loss caused by the compressor.

■Threshold
Sets the volume point at which the compressor starts to work.

This adjusts the strength of the compression.

■Ratio
Sets the compressor ratio (the amount of volume reduction that occurs after the signal exceeds the threshold).

Fine-tunes how the compressor responds when the signal exceeds the set threshold.

■Attack
Adjusts the initial response, or how the compressor works after the signal exceeds the threshold.
If you want the attack to be compressed immediately, set a faster attack time.
If you want to preserve the attack of the original sound, set a slower attack time.
■Release
Adjusts the release time of the compressor when the signal falls below the threshold.
This allows you to control the sustain.
■HPF (High Pass Filter)
Use this to prevent low frequencies (below 120Hz) from being compressed in the same way as higher frequencies.
This prevents the loss of the bass dynamics of the instrument.
This filter has a fine setting and is the most useful option for instruments with rich bass, such as bass guitars, or when you want to preserve the low-frequency dynamics of a guitar.
