The Ampster is an amp/speaker simulator pedal equipped with real tubes. This model delivers the sound of a British guitar amp in a compact pedal, and can be used as both a DI on the live stage and as a recording tool.

Rather than using the full guitar rigs that guitarists used in the 70s, 80s and 90s, modern music is becoming more and more about getting great sounds out of minimal systems.

The Ampster is a model that can be said to be released for this new generation of guitarists.
The Ampster is an amp/speaker simulator and DI that can complement or replace your current amp. It is a fully analog unit with tube power and the same controls as an amp. It responds to your playing in the same way as a full-sized amp, allowing you to create sounds with the feel of using an amp.
Just like a guitar amp, it has standard EQ (Bass/Middle/Treble), pre and post volume/gain controls (Master & Gain), and presence controls, and is housed in a sturdy metal box.

The Cabinet footswitch switches between two types of cabinet simulation (2x12 open cabinet/4x12 rose-back cabinet).
The cabinet simulation status is indicated by the color of the LED indicator (LED flashes when muted).

The Link jack on the rear panel outputs the buffered guitar input signal directly to a guitar amp. It can be used for monitoring, or mixed with the signal from the balanced DI output to create a sound.

The Send/Return jack can be used like a guitar amp's effect loop, and is ideal for using spatial effects. The three-position Voicing switch allows you to adjust the low end.

The Remote jack allows you to switch the cabinet simulation type with an external footswitch, which is useful with switchers that have footswitch control, such as the Octaswitch ""The Strip"".
