Commercially available metalworking drills are not capable of drilling holes accurately into wood. This tool, known in the industry as a ""three-tooth drill,"" has a central tip that positions the tool precisely, and both ends that cut firmly into the wood fibers, allowing you to drill holes precisely in the desired location.
We have a lineup of sizes commonly used in guitar building and repair work.
■Specifications
・Woodworking drill
・For making and repairing guitars
・3.5φ: Pickup screw (6-32) through hole (pickguard)
The above locations and screw sizes are approximate, and should be applied flexibly depending on the hardness of the wood and the length of the screw used.
★How to use★
①Attach to the drill chuck and rotate it slightly to make sure the tip is not wobbling.
②Especially when using with a drill press, it will be applied to the cutting material while rotating, so if there is any wobble in the tip, you may need to loosen the chuck and reattach it several times.
③If using a handheld electric drill, place the tip of the drill vertically where you want to drill a hole and then rotate it.
●Do not use on materials other than wood and resin.
●It has a very sharp tip. Please be careful as you may get injured if you touch it carelessly.
●Never store it out of reach of small children.
●It is made of iron and is prone to rust, so do not store it in a humid place.
