Walrus Audio / Canvas Stereo Dual Line Isolator/D.I. 【WAL-CANV/S】

A passive direct box (DI) / line isolator with the motif of "a white canvas that reflects the sound you envisioned."

Canvas Stereo is a passive line isolator (LI) and direct injection (DI) device that converts an unbalanced signal into a balanced signal for transmission to a FOH recording interface or mixer. If you use an "Amp in a box" like the ACS1 to output your acoustic or bass guitar directly to a mixer or interface, Canvas Stereo will be your new weapon.

Direct Injection Mode
Use DI mode when connecting a high impedance source (1,000Ω or more, such as an electric guitar or bass) with an unbalanced signal. The signal is reduced by -20dB (-35dB when using PAD) and converted to a balanced signal via a transformer connected to the XLR output. The gain of the mixer or preamp raises the signal to line level.

Line Isolator Mode
Use LI mode to connect an unbalanced signal with a low impedance (1,000 Ω or less) source (amplifier + cabinet simulator such as ACS1, synthesizer, etc.). The signal remains full volume and is converted to a balanced signal via a transformer connected to the XLR output. Less preamp gain is required.

FEATURE
-Flat frequency characteristics (20Hz-20kHz).
-SUM switch: When turned off (not pressed), the L and R inputs are connected to the through channel, respectively, and when turned on, the through jack is connected and output can be performed using either through jack.
• PAD switch: Enables a -15dB input pad (D.I. mode only) to reduce hot signals to minimize distortion.
-D.I./L.I switch: Select either DI (direct injection) mode or LI (line isolator) mode.
-GND Lift: The XLR GND pin can be separated and hum noise can be removed if it occurs.
