4 Pages Box is an intelligent MIDI controller with various functions packed into a compact body.

4 Pages Box has four modes: CC (control change), TRI (trigger), NTE (note), and SEQ (sequencer). Various MIDI data can be sent using the eight key switches surrounded by black lines.

In CC mode, 32 types of control changes (8 types x 3 pages, control change number is fixed) assigned to the key switches can be sent alternately between values ​​127 and 0, so they can be assigned to various buttons on software synthesizers and DAWs.

In TRI mode, it can send three octaves of note on and note off like a toggle switch, so it can be used as an on/off trigger for a loop sampler. In NTE mode, it functions as a three octave keyboard (up to eight notes can be used simultaneously, as a velocity-free keyboard switch).

In SEQ mode, you can store up to three step sequencers with up to four chords and eight steps, making it ideal for controlling sound source-only software or MIDI-compatible modular synths.

In addition, the two CC knobs on the top can send control changes (#52 and #7), allowing you to control volume, filters, etc. in real time.

It also supports MIDI over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE-MIDI), so if you run it as a standalone with batteries, you can connect wirelessly to a BLE-MIDI-compatible device such as an iPad for MIDI control.

*Since it can send 26 types of on/off type control, you can assign it to the key switch of a plug-in synth, etc., and play without transposing even when using a MIDI keyboard with a small octave range (as a sub MIDI keyboard).

*CC7 and CC52 (fixed) are equipped with continuously variable knobs, which are convenient for writing automation, etc.

*In note mode, it can also be used as a 3-octave MIDI keyboard (without velocity), so it can be used for simple melody checks and drum note input, and it is highly portable, so it is useful as mobile gear.

*In trigger mode, pressing it once functions as note on, and pressing it again functions as note off, so it can also be used for DJ performances such as loop on/off of a loop sampler.

*In SEQ mode, it operates as a standalone 8-step sequencer (maximum pronunciation per step is 4 chords), so it is also ideal as a step sequencer for MIDI-compatible modular synths (USB connection or MIDI connection via USB HOST is required)

*It also supports BLE-MIDI, so it can be used as a controller (including step sequencer) for iOS apps. Since it can be controlled wirelessly, you can build a highly portable live performance system with just an iPhone/iPad and a 4 Pages Box.
