ZOOM / V6-SP Vocal Effector

A new package that eliminates the dedicated microphone from the existing model ""V6"". The main body is the same as the V6, and is a vocal effector equipped with pitch correction, vocoder, harmony effects, and a unique formant pedal. It can be used not only for live concerts, but also as a voice changer for streaming and podcasts.

In addition to being able to use commercially available vocal microphones with XLR connections, ZOOM's super-directional vocal microphone (SGV-6), which minimizes unnecessary ""overlap"" on live stages, is still available as an optional extra.

ライブ向けに振り切った良機。VE-20よりはるかに使いやすい

数年前にBOSS VE-20を買ったものの、使いこなせず売却しました。
本機は、ライブ中にリアルタイムで変化をつけられる用途に振り切って作られており、VE-20がまったく使えなくて手放した私でも余裕で使えました。
筐体は大きすぎず、アルミ筐体なのでライブステージのフロア用を想定して作られている感があります。
フォルマント調整ペダルはシンセのピッチベンダーのようにバネでセンター位置から上げ下げする感じなので、一定のフォルマント位置で固定はされません（離すとバネでセンター位置に戻ります）。このペダルを手で上げ下げするのはかなり力が要ると思います（ネジ調節でゆるくできるそうです）。
ハーモニーをかける前のVOICEセクションでピッチコレクトを使わないと入力した歌声にハーモニーがかかるわけですから、少しのピッチのずれがハーモニー全体のずれになるので気持ち悪いです。そういう点では、ピッチコレクトはVOICEセクションとは独立して設けて欲しかったところですね。
残念ポイント
・キー設定のダイヤルが「今、どのキーに設定したのか」がわかりづらい。メインディスプレイに表示されるようにはならないらしい。
・搭載エフェクトが少ない。「テレフォン」でラジオボイスのようにするくらい。ライブ現場でリバーブは通常はPAさんに任せるので、リバーブは削って、その分効果音的エフェクトに充てて欲しかったところ。
・キャノン、フォン兼用端子ではないので、カラオケボックスに持っていって使いたい人はXLRオス→フォンオス変換コネクタを用意しましょう。
・AUX INがない
・ルーパーで作成したループは保存できない。
事前にボイパや低音をループに仕込んで保存しておいて、そこに重ねるといった使い方はできない。時間も3分30秒なので微妙。ルーパーとしては中途半端としか言えない。
・専用マイクのセット販売がなくなった。以前のセット価格を知っていたら、別売りの専用マイクを買おうとは思わない。指向性の強いマイクなら、専用マイクでなくても使えるのでかまわないが。
以上のように、いろいろと改良して欲しい点はあるものの、2023年9月時点のボーカル用エフェクターとして、この機種に勝るモノはないと思う。
