When fixing pots to the pickguard of a Strat or other instrument, make sure that there is an aluminum shield attached to the back of the pickguard. If there is not, apply this product to the back of the pickguard and then apply conductive paint (including paint with a brush/paint brush, paint is not included in this set) inside the circuit before using the lug. The conductive paint may have been applied at the time of manufacture, but there may be unevenness or the paint may have peeled off due to aging. METAL KNOB NOISE KILLER is a magical part that improves the shaft noise that occurs when touching a metal knob!
