A high-quality preamp/clean boost using an audio Hi-Fi op amp. It can be used for a variety of purposes, from always-on to add shine to your sound, to pushing a distorted amp.
■Guitar effector ■Digital octave pedal ■Jack White collaboration model ■Octave section Uses the high-performance DSP "Blackfin". Produces zero-latency fast tracking and stable octave sound. The dry sound (direct sound) and octave sound are output simultaneously in parallel. The center switch can be used as a kill switch, and by stepping on it at the same time as the octave, the original sound is cut, allowing only the octave sound to play. Both octave switches can be switched between momentary and latch, allowing you to play in a way that sounds an octave higher for just one phrase, like Jack White. ■"KILL" mode The center switch acts as a momentary original sound (direct sound) kill switch. When the direct sound is cut and either octave is turned on, only the pitch-shifted sound is output. ■"AUXILIARY" mode The center switch acts as a momentary FX (effect) loop. While the switch is pressed, the direct sound is output through the effector connected to the SEND/RETURN terminal. In this case, the octave and direct sounds are parallel, so the octave sound does not pass through the FX (effects) loop. ■Unique "Morse Code Switch" A custom-designed switch based on a Morse code switch. Step on it with your foot, push it with your hand... it can be used in a variety of situations. ■Examples of use If you know Jack White's playing, you can easily imagine how this is used. If you're a soccer fan, think back to "Seven Nation Army" from The White Stripes' days. You'll understand how it's used when you hear the sound of the octave lower sounding in unison with a single guitar in the main riff, or the sound of the octave higher sound overlapping with the distortion in the intense part that hits the chorus. Movie fans will easily recognize the part in the interlude of "Another Way To Die" (Alicia Keys & Jack White), the theme song for "007 Skyfall," where an octave higher sounds over the crushing fuzz sound. Of course, it's a great tool for creating the sound you're aiming for, and by using it on temporary phrases like Jack's, it can also solve the problem of "octave fuzz sounds good for single notes, but gets crushed by chords..." ■Power supply: 9V (2.1mm x 5.5mm terminal) / center negative / 250mA or more * If you try to operate it at less than 250mA, only the bypass sound will play.
