A software drum sound source that records the sound of rough and aggressive grunge drumming.
Simple package version, software instrument
The music genre "Grunge" suddenly emerged from Seattle in the early 90's. This is a mixture of intensely distorted guitars played by force and destructive drum sounds that can be said to be full of anger by a new generation of artists who look completely different from the glam rock that enjoyed the 80's. The genre quickly succeeded in catching the hearts of the younger generation at the time.
Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden. Virtual Drummer BRUTE reproduces the rough and aggressive grunge drumming represented by Pearl Jam and Dinosaur Jr.

DIRTY: Punchy and aggressive
TIGHT: Expressive, fine and tight
NOBLE: Thick and suitable for alternative rock
PRIME: Well-balanced stadium rock sound

Gentle: A sophisticated mix for ballads and power pop
Slam: Garage rock mix with strong compression
Bite: An aggressive mix that emphasizes the low mids rather than the bass
Crush: A strong mix of distortion and saturation
Bounce: A warm, modern mix
Wide: A spectacular rock mix

Microphone used for recording
Virtual Drummer BRUTE is recorded with three different mics so that you don't lose your personality or detail when mixed with a layer of strongly distorted distortion guitar. Each microphone has a clear use.
1. Click / Smack
Vintage microphone "Sennheiser MD21" made in the 1960s that emphasizes attack transients. Used via the famous Manley Voxbox when recording.
2. Grit / Dirt
Vintage tube and overhead ribbon microphone. Resonance and organic noise that reproduce warmth and natural sound are recorded with this microphone.
3. Clean / Nice
A modern high-spec microphone "Schoeps" is used to record sounds that are faithful to the original sound.
Smack and Grit
Two controls that allow you to easily adjust the blend and finish the mix.
Smack: Adjust the attack and transients to make the sound brighter and keep the organic sound, but not buried in the mix.
Grit: Crossfade mics # 2 and # 3 to blend pre-processed and post-processed sounds
