The DSE-9 LITE set of the DRAGON SKIN series of electric guitar strings features DR's proprietary K3 coating, which provides the same string touch and clear sound as non-coated strings. The hexagonal core wire is hand-wound with a nickel plate winding and K3 coating. While providing the same playing feel as non-coated strings, it provides a clearer, more expressive tone by suppressing unnecessary overtones.
