This is a reverberator based on the RMX16, which has been used for many recordings since the 1980s and has been incorporated into the 500 series format.
■Following in the footsteps of legendary reverbs
The AMS RMX16 was the world's first microprocessor-controlled, full-bandwidth digital reverb, and was used in many recordings from the 1980s onward. Since then, it has become an indispensable part of any studio.
Rather than simply implementing a mathematical algorithm from the start, each program is retuned to provide the widest possible "sweet spot" settings with a "carpet graph" parameter table to make it musical. It was designed by ear, over a long period of time, based on first principles. It boasts a unique sound not found in modern designs.
In addition to the nine standard programs, there are nine aftermarket programs available. These nine programs are included in the AMS RMX 16 500 series digital reverb module.
