■FUSION's highly acclaimed Violet EQ The SSL UltraViolet 500 Series Stereo EQ is a model that puts Fusion's highly acclaimed Violet stereo EQ section into the 500 Series format. It is an ideal partner for the SSL G-COMP stereo bus compressor module, allowing users of 500 Series modules to have an SSL master bus EQ in their rack. The UltraViolet EQ builds on the Fusion Violet EQ by taking the functionality a step further and adding two dedicated mid bands with their own Focus control for greater EQ flexibility. The UV-EQ uses the traditional SSL feature of carefully selecting frequencies and response curves to provide musical, intuitive equalization designed to quickly tweak the sound of your mix. ■Focus Mode Focus Mode allows users to "focus" on problem frequencies or specific frequencies they wish to emphasize or attenuate. Pressing the "Focus" switch automatically narrows the selected Q setting even further, widening the range of available gain beyond the normal +/- 9dB operation. ■Key Features
