SSL (Solid State Logic) / 500 Series SiX Channel Channel Strip Module

A 500 series format channel strip based on the circuitry of the SiX console.

The SSL SiX Channel is a 500 Series format channel strip that follows the SuperAnalogue channel from SSL's SiX console, including mic pres, low & high EQ, and single-knob compressor. ■SuperAnalogue Pre-Amp input Adopts the SuperAnalogue design, boasting a wide gain range and ultra-low noise. Gain switches are equipped for both line and mic, covering a wide range of sources. The line input impedance is 10kΩ, but can be switched to 1MΩ using the Hi-Z switch, allowing you to connect high impedance sources such as guitars without the need for an external DI box. ■EQ The EQ is a two-band design with gentle, wide strokes at 3.5kHz and 60Hz, with an adjustable gain range of +15dB to -15dB. Each band can be individually switched between shelving and bell curves. The bell curve operates at 5kHz and 200Hz with a changed center frequency, increasing the versatility of the two controls. ■Compressor Features a versatile, one-knob, simple channel compressor that delivers powerful and versatile performance. It also features three LED meters that show the amount of gain reduction. The circuit features automatic make-up gain to maintain signal levels over the full range set by the Threshold. ■Key Features:
