D'Angelico / EX MINI DC BLK

The Excel Mini DC Black is a semi-hollow body model with an original double cutaway shape and center block construction, measuring 14 inches (355.6 mm) wide and 1.75 inches (44.45 mm) thick.

The pickguard, with its original shape that is characteristic of D'Angelico, is designed to resemble part of an f-hole and features a 5-ply tortoise shell pattern. The body top, headstock and neck are decorated with binding, and the design, combined with the striking split block position markers in mother-of-pearl/avalon, gives a chic and gorgeous impression. The body top and sides and back are made of maple, and the maple/walnut/maple neck has an ebony fingerboard. It has a 24.75-inch (628.65mm) scale, and the neck is a three-piece construction with walnut sandwiched between maple, making it resistant to warping and twisting. The neck joint is also a set neck joint. It also has a dual action truss rod that can be adjusted from the headstock side. The distinctive headstock design continues the D'Angelico tradition. The truss rod cover is made of aluminum, and has a striking design inspired by the skyscrapers of New York City, lined with Art Deco architecture (such as the Empire State Building) that was popular in New York around 1930. The pickups are two metal-covered USA Seymour Duncan 59 humbuckers. The controls are a two-volume, two-tone, three-way pickup selector layout, and the tone of each pickup doubles as a coil split push-pull switch, allowing a total of eight different coil combinations. The hardware is all gold, and it features Grover's Super Rotomatic machine heads, Tune-O-Matic and stopbar tailpiece, which ensure stable tuning. It has a gloss finish and a trans-cherry color. It comes with a hard case.
