A model that makes the world of Apollo, Universal Audio's premium audio interface, easier to use, has been added to the family. This Apollo Solo is ideal for musicians, songwriters, and producers who want to record and mix easily and with good sound.

It can handle more than 100 UAD plug-ins used by professionals around the world, and can be used in real time not only for mixing and mastering in DAWs, but also inside Apollo Solo.

The two preamps installed in Apollo Solo are compatible with Unison technology, emulating the behavior of famous microphone preamps, guitar amps, etc. not only in software but also in hardware.
Furthermore, if you are using a macOS environment, you can use Universal Audio's LUNA Recording System for free.

This is recommended not only for those who are making their debut into the world of Apollo/UAD-2 for the first time, but also for those who already use Apollo rackmount models and are looking for a more portable solution. In particular, if you have an Apollo Solo with Thunderbolt 3 connection, it will operate on bus power, so you can use it more freely for remote recording and live performances.

・Apple MacBook has a USB-C port, but it does not support Thunderbolt 3, so Apollo Solo cannot be operated.

・Some computers have a USB-C (Type-C) connector but are not Thunderbolt 3 compatible.

・Apollo Solo is bus-powered via the Thunderbolt 3 connection (it cannot be powered by a power cable or external power supply).

・If you are using Apollo Solo with a laptop computer, we recommend that you connect the computer to a power source.

・Thunderbolt 1/2 connections are not supported.

・Connections using Thunderbolt to FireWire adapters, Thunderbolt hubs, or other conversion adapters are not supported.

・Compatibility with AMD processor environments has not been tested and is therefore not supported.

・Use in 2-in-1 system (notebook/tablet) environments is not supported.
