NEKTAR / MIDI FLEX 4

A MIDI interface that provides flexible connectivity for a variety of MIDI setups on MAC, Windows and iOS. The four analog MIDI ports can be used as a 1-in/3-out, 2-in/2-out or 4-out interface. If you need more ports, simply connect another MIDIFLEX 4 and expand your MIDI power!

■The right port, right away.
No drivers needed:
MIDIFLEX 4 is USB class compliant, so setup is super easy - just connect MIDIFLEX 4 to your computer and the ports will be available in your DAW software's MIDI settings.

Automatic port detection:
MIDIFLEX 4 automatically detects MIDI input and output connections and shows their status with LED indicators for the MIDI ports. Connect your external MIDI equipment and let MIDIFLEX do the rest.

4 LEDs show whether the port is configured as an input or output.

Expand ports with multiple MIDIFLEX 4:
One unit is not enough? If you need more ports, just connect another MIDIFLEX 4! For example, with three MIDIFLEX 4s you can create a system with 4 MIDI ins and 8 MIDI outs. If that's not enough, you can always add another unit.

■MIDI Merge and Split Function
MIDIFLEX 4 has an advantage over other USB MIDI interfaces in that it functions as a MIDI merge box or split box when used in standalone mode. Power it externally using a commercially available USB power adapter (sold separately) and select either mode by pressing the dedicated button on the front of the unit.

It can be used as a ""2-1"" merge box or a ""1-3"" split box.

■ Bitwig 8-Track is included, a DAW that lets you start composing and performing right away!
MIDIFLEX 4 comes with Bitwig 8-Track - an 8-track version of the DAW that lets you start producing, performing, and sound designing right away. Bitwig 8-Track comes with over 50 software instruments and effects, allowing you to create music with up to 8 audio or MIDI tracks. You can also use commercially available VST? plug-ins. In addition, the included ""Bitwig Essentials Package"" provides easy-to-use loops, clips and samples to support those who are trying to compose for the first time. Inheriting the functions and appeal of the higher-level version Bitwig Studio, it is an attractive music tool both as a high-level production tool and as a powerful sketchpad for developing musical ideas.
