In addition to the functions inherited from the AXE I/O, this DI pedal also has a buffer and boost function.
Z-TONE Buffer Boost is a guitar/bass preamp/DI pedal equipped with a buffer and boost function in addition to the functions inherited from AXE I/O, such as Z-Tone, which continuously adjusts impedance, JFET/PURE switch, and active/passive pickup selector. It achieves the best dynamic range and frequency characteristics, and can be used as a high-quality instrument preamp on stage or in the studio.
Not only can it adjust the texture of the guitar or bass tone, but it can also be used as a buffer to preserve the original tone of the sound when using multiple stomp pedals, and as a booster that adds up to +10dB of volume, making it suitable for the first stage of gear that inputs the guitar/bass.
The guitar signal deteriorates due to the handling of long cables and wiring on a pedal board with multiple stomp pedals. Z-TONE Buffer Boost has a built-in function to prevent such signal deterioration, and can also be used as a buffer to preserve the original tone of the sound.
Z-TONE Buffer Boost can be easily integrated into your existing effects rig, as it can be powered by a 9V battery, a standard 9V power adapter, or +48v phantom power via the XLR connector.
Z-TONE Buffer Boost is equipped with a LINK OUT that outputs the input signal to an effects unit, an XLR balanced output with a ground lift switch to deal with hum noise, and a standard 1/4-inch unbalanced output. In addition to being able to drive effects units or amplifiers via the LINK OUT, you can also send a low-noise DI signal via the XLR or standard connector to a mixer or interface.
