X/Yパターンの構造に注意しましょう。

音質は値段に対して充分に高品質で、おすすめできる商品です。
大音量への耐性はそこまで無く、どちらかというと美しいステレオイメージを繊細に収録する用途に向きます。
そのX/Yパターンなのですが、ちょっと最初に構造を理解するまで戸惑ったので
後の購入者さんのためにレビューで残しておきます。
このマイクは、見た目から直感的に想像すると、穴の空いている箇所がLRで、
円筒を音源に対して水平に向けたくなりますが、そうすると正しいステレオイメージになりません。
商品写真の、円筒の両端に矢印がついていると思うのですが、円筒が縦になるように持ち、
矢印が正面になるように音源に向けます。
こうすると、中のカプセルが正しくX/Yパターンのステレオイメージを得られます。
カプセルの向きが外から見えないのでわかりにくいですが、正しく使えばとてもいいマイクです。
