The Fernandes Sustainer is a sustain control system developed to freely control ""string vibration"". Just turn the switch on and play to sustain string vibration indefinitely, resulting in ultra-long sustain. The Fernandes Sustainer creates ""sustain"", one of the important elements of guitar, by sustaining ""string vibration itself"". Completely different from effects that obtain effects by processing electrical signals, the sound is a natural guitar sound. Furthermore, the Fernandes Sustainer is equipped as standard with a ""mode selector"" that switches between string vibrations with different harmonic components. These items not only ""extend the sound"" but also allow for a variety of ""sustain nuance"" approaches.
