This is a TAMA hi-hat stand. It uses a direct drive system, which means less energy loss and quicker response.
The DYNA-SYNC hi-hat stand uses a direct drive method that uses a metal arm to connect the rod and footboard, just like a drum pedal. It achieves less energy loss and quick response. In addition to a mechanism called Spring Damper that reduces noise generated when you quickly take your foot off the footboard, it also has a mechanism that allows you to change the angle of the entire footboard by operating the bolt at the tip of the footboard with a tuning key, just like the DYNA-SYNC pedal.
■Hi-hat stand
■Dynasync
■2 legs
■Weight: Approximately 5.2 kg
■Height adjustment range:
745-960 mm (when using 500 mm long rod)
745-810 mm (when using the included 350 mm short rod)
*Distance from floor to bottom cymbal when cymbal is set
■Pipe diameter: 28.6 mm-25.4 mm
■Direct Drive Action
The rod and footboard are connected using a direct drive method using an arm designed specifically for this stand. By attaching bearing-shaped rotating shafts to both the upper and lower ends of the joint of this arm, it is possible to efficiently convert the force of stepping on the footboard into the opening/closing movement of the cymbal. It provides a lighter feel and smoother playing.
■Spring Damper
An original structure that reduces the impact noise that occurs when you quickly remove your foot from the footboard, such as when moving your foot from the high to the footboard of the tsun pedal. By passing the lower part of the tension rod through a sprig, the arm extending from the footboard absorbs the impact given to the frame. It prevents noise generation.
■6-Way Tension Adjustment
The spring tension can be adjusted in 6 steps by rotating the adjustment dial. You can visually check the tension. It can also be operated with one hand, so you can easily adjust it even while sitting on the stool.
■Quick-Set Hi-Hat Clutch
The included hi-hat clutch allows you to set/release the cymbal with one touch by simply operating the button on the bottom part.
In addition, by minimizing the contact area with the top cymbal, you can achieve a more natural sound and sustain when playing half-open or open.
■Footboard Angle Adjustment
At the tip of the footboard, there is a clamp that connects the linkage extending from the cam, and by adjusting the bolt there with the tuning key, you can change the angle of the entire footboard and firmly fix it.
■Swivel Foot
Equipped with a mechanism that allows the legs to rotate freely independent of the direction of the footboard. Setting up when using twin pedals is much easier.
