■USB 3.0 MIDI interface

The M8U eX is a compact USB 3.0 MIDI interface with 16 MIDI ports that can be used for both IN and OUT (automatic recognition).

Connect it to a computer and use it as a USB MIDI interface, or use it as a standalone MIDI thru box or MIDI merge box.

It also has a 3-port USB 3.0 hub, allowing you to connect a USB dongle, USB MIDI keyboard, or an additional M8U eX (M4U eX), making it an extremely useful MIDI interface that can be used in anything from private studios to large-scale systems.

■Operation mode
The 16 MIDI connectors function as ports 1-16 with IN/OUT, allowing for flexible connectivity.

When connected to a computer and used as a MIDI interface

Example: Up to 16 output ports
All ports function as MIDI Out terminals.

Example: Up to 16 input ports
All ports function as MIDI In terminals.

Example: 4 input ports & 12 output ports
Since all ports support input and output, for example, ports 1-4 can be used as MIDI In terminals, and ports 5-16 can be used as MIDI Out terminals.

Example: Connect two M8U eXs at the same time to increase the number of ports

You can add ports by connecting a second M8U eX (or M4U eX) to the USB hub port of the first M8U eX. This makes it easy to support large systems.
