NORDSTRAND PICKUP / NJ5S Bridge

The NJ5 is a redesign of the NJ4 for 5-string basses. It has good reproduction of the low-B and provides a well-balanced sound. The basic sound of this model is the same as the NJ5, but this pickup has an added noise cancellation function. The single coil pickup has a stack structure. In addition to the classic sound, it provides a balanced and rich sound required for a 5-string bass.

The NJ5S Model has the same basic sound character as the NJ5, but it is an NJ5 with a split structure to prevent noise. It is also designed as a full-size replacement pickup for 5-string basses.
The character may change slightly between stacked and normal structures, but Carey can completely control the difference, so we can make either a pickup with a pure single coil structure, a pickup with noise canceling function by adopting a stack structure, or a pickup with additional elements like the NJ5F. The NJ5S is the former, and in addition to the classic character, it is a pickup that can ensure a balanced and rich tone across the entire range, which is necessary for the new instrument of the 5-string bass.
