Recording, monitoring, and everything you need to operate your DAW can be done quickly and efficiently without using a mouse, making your workflow clear and allowing you to focus on the sound, not the screen.

Nucleus is also unique in its audio features. First, the signal path based on SSL's SuperAnalogue provides SSL's professional sound quality and two monitor outputs, Main and ALT, with 4dB connection.

The high quality 2+2ch Dante audio interface allows you to send record and playback paths to your DAW or other devices on the Dante IP audio network.

Two XLR mic/line/instrument inputs can be sent to the audio interface and monitor outputs simultaneously. Digital I/O via S/PDIF can be sent to the AD/DA (pre-insert) of the audio interface, allowing you to simultaneously output digital to the DAW's record path and output the mic/line/instrument inputs to digital.

The digital inputs can be used on channels 3&4 of the audio interface, allowing you to record analog inputs in parallel to separate channels of your DAW at the same time. The Wet/Dry control allows you to control the balance between analog (digital inputs) and DAW playback, allowing you to record and monitor with no latency.

Furthermore, Nucleus provides a -20dB output to headphones and a switchable monitor output. Talkback functionality with DIM has been added. The talkback input has gain control and can be sent to a Dante sound card for remote communication over the network.
Nucleus' mic pres are SSL SuperAnalogue mic pres, equivalent to the mic pres in SSL's large consoles Duality, AWS and X-Rack systems, bringing professional standard clarity and the highest quality to the record path. The mic inputs feature an 80Hz high-pass filter, reverse phase switch and phantom power. A pair of insert send/returns allow external processors and effects to be used on the mic/line/instrument inputs, as well as DAW processors for mixdown. Nucleus can be used to communicate with the layback. An ""External"" stereo analog input can be used to send audio from other audio interfaces or analog devices to Nucleus's clear monitor path. Two headphone outputs are also included as standard.

Nucleus connects via Ethernet for DAW control and Dante audio. It can also be used as a keyboard replacement by connecting via USB and configuring functions via key command emulation. The back has three USB ports that function as a USB hub. There is also a standard jack foot switch input and an SD card slot for saving profiles. Nucleus settings and key command mappings can be remotely controlled from the ""SSL Logictivity"" browser and saved and loaded from the SD card.
