The PG-8000-0G is a narrow-pitch String Saver Classic Saddle for Strat/Tele. The String Saver creates a thin Teflon membrane as the string moves and vibrates against the saddle, reducing string breakage and improving tuning stability. It also provides deep, sharp tone and rich sustain like a vintage saddle.

String Saver dramatically improves string break resistance and sustain compared to metal saddles.
String Saver creates a thin Teflon film by the movement and vibration of the string against the saddle. This acts as a lubricant, preventing the string from being fixed more than necessary against the saddle, spreading the load that tends to be concentrated at one point over a wide area. This is how the string is less likely to break. The String Saver saddle produces a deep, crisp sound as if it were a vintage steel saddle, resulting in improved sustain.
