The PerSonus StudioLive Series III S is a console/recorder that delivers superior mixing capabilities for live performances, recording, and home studios. ■Superb Sound
Delivers the detail and open high-end sound of a studio console. PreSonus is renowned for its superior-sounding analog circuit designs, including the high-quality XMAX solid-state Class A preamps. Since obtaining a patent for digital control of analog circuits in 1995, all of that experience has been applied to the design of the StudioLive Series III S, delivering the sound of analog circuits with the convenience of digital recall. No compromises have been made on components, and ribbon cables, which introduce noise and crosstalk, are eliminated. The result is high-end audio quality for superior-sounding mixes and recordings, both live and in the studio.

■Fat Channel
Each channel features DSP-implemented effects, from classic tube limiters to passive EQs, with a plug-in-style workflow. Channel processing is as flexible as your DSP power allows. Six-band, fully parametric EQ is also available on all mix outputs, eliminating the need for outboard gear.

■From Solid State to Vacuum Tube
The Fat Channel allows you to add or change compressors and EQs with add-ons. Eight compressors are available, modeling FET, vacuum tube, optical, and VCA, offering a soft, smooth attack and a fast response. Seven EQs offer a diverse lineup, from solid state to vacuum tube, allowing you to achieve anything from vintage to modern sounds. The Fat Channel add-ons are also reproduced in Studio One, so you can mix directly on your computer.

■Computer-Free Recording Environment
The StudioLive Series III S comes standard with the Capture SD recorder/player, which combines reliable, one-touch multitrack recording and virtual soundcheck functionality in hardware. Recording and playback are possible using just an SD card and the device. Connecting to a computer via USB also functions as a USB audio interface. Multitrack recording is supported with Capture software. Capture allows you to record channels, FlexMix, and the main mix. Recording and playback of live performances allows for quick virtual soundchecks.

What's more, Capture files are native StudioOne files, meaning not only the audio data but the entire mix scene, including fader levels, panning, Fat Channel settings, and mute/solo, is reproduced exactly in Studio One, allowing you to immediately start live mixing.

■Create as many buses and groups as you need
Have you ever been frustrated during live setup because you had unused subgroups but not enough monitor mixes? No need to worry anymore! Take advantage of FlexMix, which can be assigned as an aux mix, subgroup mix, or matrix mix. It also offers 24 DCAs for easy and flexible control of channel groups. This is just a small part of what's available. The StudioLive Series III S offers a wide range of customization options to suit your needs and workflow.

■Reconfigure your mix without removing the cables
The concept of an analog patchbay has been incorporated into the digital world. Customize your mix by patching analog inputs or digital returns (AVB, USB, or SD card) to any channel. This flexible functionality allows you to freely route audio to an AVB network, and you can also record inputs and FlexMix via USB.

■USB Audio I/O that doubles as a control surface
With up to 128 recording channels, this digital mixer is ideal not only for live recording but also for recording studios. Each channel can access analog inputs or USB sources from a computer, and it also features recallable XMAX mic preamps and Studio One Fat Channel processing. In DAW mode, you can also mix in your DAW using the touch-sensitive motorized faders.

■World-class DAW Software Bundled
The bundled Studio One Artist DAW software (valued at ¥13,000) delivers stunning sound quality with a next-generation audio engine, enabling you to create high-quality projects faster than ever before. Take advantage of the tight hardware integration between Studio One and StudioLive Series III S, including remote preamp control directly from within Studio One.

■Remote Control via PC/Smartphone/Tablet
Equipped with a 1GB Ethernet port that can be connected to a wireless router or directly to a computer, it allows remote control of almost all functions. Mix anytime, anywhere using the UC Surface app on a Mac/Windows or iPad over a wireless or wired network. Up to four screens can be added for a faster workflow. Musicians can control their own monitor mixes using the QMix-UC app on an iPhone, iPod touch, or Android smartphone/tablet. Use wireless, wired, or both.

■Flexible Signal Flow
The rear panel provides a variety of I/O needed for live sound and studio production. Flexible connectivity, excellent sound quality, workflow customization, and powerful processing, mixing, and routing capabilities allow you to create your mix in the best way. Expanding via AVB networking is easy. Connecting to an NSB Series Stage Box via AVB allows you to add remote inputs and outputs wherever you need them.

■PreSonus Ecosystem via AVB
The PreSonus ecosystem is at the forefront of AVB networking technology. Designed to complement each other, the ecosystem is easily expandable and quickly configurable. The StudioLive Series III S acts as the command center for setting up the ultimate AVB network, routing audio to the EarMix personal monitor mixer and using NSB Series stage boxes and other StudioLive Series III Ss to control gain staging and add up to 64 additional inputs. Powerful DSP-driven plug-in processing, numerous mix buses, and integrated onboard networking deliver a large-format mixing experience in a small-format package.

■Studio Magic Plug-In Suite
Registered users of eligible PreSonus hardware are now eligible to receive the Studio Magic Plug-In Suite, free of charge, in partnership with plug-in vendors.
