KENTON / THRU-12

KENTON / Thru-12 is a MIDI through box that can distribute one MIDI input to 12 outputs.

When connecting multiple MIDI devices with MIDI cables, a common method is to daisy-chain them using the MIDI IN and MIDI THRU of each MIDI device. However, as the number of devices increases or the MIDI cables become longer, signal delays and reception errors can occur.

The THRU-12 solves this problem by distributing the input MIDI signal in parallel. Each MIDI THRU features an independent driver circuit and a compensation circuit to eliminate noise and ensure accurate signal transmission, resulting in a highly reliable circuit design.

If the THRU-5, which distributes signals to five channels, does not have enough THRUs, try the THRU-12 or THRU-25. They are ideal for large studio systems using numerous MIDI-enabled synthesizers, effects, and outboard gear, as well as for stage equipment, lighting, and stage effects systems that use MIDI Show Control (MSC) to control multiple devices.

The unit is housed in a sturdy aluminum enclosure with a beautiful hairline finish. The unit is powered by an AC adapter, eliminating the need to worry about running out of batteries and ensuring stable operation. When powered on, the Active LED on the back of the unit lights up, and the LED flashes when a MIDI signal is received.
