Variations

These custom light gauge strings offer just the right amount of tension. They're flatwound strings that offer a smooth feel and a warm, mellow tone. They feature a special construction with a base wound string around a hex core, and then a flat ribbon wound string on top. Their smooth feel, minimal fingering noise, and solid tone have captivated many bassists.

■D'Addario flatwound strings are renowned for their smooth finish and excellent tone. A base wound string is wound around a hex core, and then a highly precise flat ribbon wound string manufactured in-house is wound around it. The strings are then polished in three stages to create an exceptionally smooth surface.

モダンよりのフラットワウンド？

ラ・ベラやトマスティックやピラミッドに比べると煌びやかなサウンドで、表面の仕上げはマットです。
フラットワウンドを使いたいけどロックやポップスをやるのでサウンドはラウンドワウンド寄りが良いなと思ってた私にはピッタリでした。仕上げの綺麗さでいうと上記のメーカーには劣るかも知れませんが、ラ・ベラやピラミッドの弦はかなりダブルベースに近い音がするのでこちらのダダリオの方が対応出来るジャンルは多いかも知れません。

テンションはライトゲージでもラウンドワウンドのミディアムより高い数値だったくらいなのでめちゃくちゃ強いです。
