STAX / SR-L700 MK2

The STAX SR-L700MK2 is the top model in the Advanced Lambda series, inheriting the legacy of the SR-Λ (Lambda) that was born in 1979. It adopts a replaceable re-cable structure, which improves the usability of the ear speaker by enabling future support for high-quality cables and easy maintenance against unexpected disconnections.

■Aluminum case holder
・The change in material has allowed for a more flexible mechanism design. In the MK2 model, the case holder has been changed from the conventional linear design to a gently curved design, which has the effect of making the ear pads fit more naturally to the side of the head. In addition, the high rigidity makes it less likely for unnecessary distortion or twisting to occur when worn, and the fit (degree of adhesion) has been greatly improved. In open-type ear speakers, increasing the degree of adhesion when worn contributes greatly to improving low-frequency reproduction.

■Newly developed MLER oval sound unit
・The new generation oval fixed electrode MLER (Multi Layer ElectRodes) is used, which utilizes thermal diffusion bonding technology that integrates metals at the atomic level under high tones and high pressure, achieving flatness, low resonance, and high sound wave transmittance while making the plate thickness thinner. The vibration-damping bridge is integrated, achieving extremely low resonance.

■Original wide low-capacity hybrid cable made of 6N (99.9999%) OFC + silver-plated soft copper wire
- The highly rated 6N OFC (φ0.14 x 3) is used for the center wire, and six silver-plated soft copper wires (φ0.08 x 9) are arranged around it. The overall structure is the most suitable structure for electrostatic type of voltage transmission, and inherits the wide original parallel type that reduces the inter-line capacitance to the utmost. The ""freshness of the sound"" is not compromised in the slightest.

■Arc ASSY
- 10-step click to separate position adjustment and load to distribute the burden. Once adjusted, the optimal position is always maintained. The soft texture of the headband provides a light wearing feeling. Comfortable even for long listening.

■Genuine leather ear pads
- New ear pads carefully made by craftsmen using genuine leather (sheepskin) with excellent breathability that maintains a good humidity environment for the entire ear and cushioning material with moderate elasticity. Dramatically improved ""sound freshness"" and ""sound quality.""
