BAE / 1028 Mic Preamp/EQ

A channel strip equipped with a Carnhill transformer. Compared to the company's ""1073"", the Mid/High frequencies of the EQ section are designed to be higher, and this model also has a low-pass filter.

■Channel Strip

The 1028 is a fully hand-wired channel strip using Carnhill (St. Ives) transformers. It has the exact same mic/line preamps as the 1073, but the Mid/High section has a significantly higher frequency setting. As well as offering more frequency settings, the expanded EQ section allows you to directly manipulate the curve of the mid bell against the overlapping high/low, allowing for more musical sound creation. The 1028 also has a built-in low-pass filter, allowing you to set 28 frequencies.
