Digiface Dante is RME's first audio interface supporting the network standard Dante, which is being introduced in the PA, equipment, studio, and conference system industries. Thanks to RME's proven driver technology in the audio interface market, low latency and stability allow intuitive handling of up to 256 channels of audio data. The built-in headphone output can be used as a stereo line output as well as monitoring with headphones.

The Ethernet port that connects to the Dante network has two primary and two secondary ports, for a total of four Ethernet ports, providing not only redundancy but also a 4-port switching hub. It also supports a stand-alone mode that does not connect to a computer. When standalone, it also functions as a simple “Dante<>MADI converter” or “Dante & MADI patch bay”. You can also make headphone monitoring of any mix by making preset settings.

Also, RMA provides MADI transmission technology, which recognizes the clock in the MADI signal when connecting to a MADI device, so there is no need to connect a separate word clock.
