■THE KIT: Acoustic Drum Kit
Groove Agent now includes a new acoustic drum kit. Pearl kick and snare, Yamaha Maple Custom toms, four Zildjian crashes, an Istanbul ride, and a Paiste splash. All recorded at Teldex Studios in Berlin using high-end Neumann microphones, outboard gear, and reverb chambers.
The high-quality samples in 'The Kit' feature 47 articulations, five round robins, and up to 20 velocities. They're a stunning sound that will stand out in any mix.

■Over 30 Electro Kits
New kits from electro music artists such as Rawtekk, Audeka, zKlang, and Joe Ford, as well as up-and-coming producers. They include not only beat patterns but also bass and melody snippets, hits, and noises. Ver. 5 also now features the same style player in Beat Agent as in Acoustic Agent.

■New Styles for Songwriters
20 new MIDI Styles are included to complement The Kit. A wide variety of intros, outros, fills, and tempos are available, covering a wide range of genres, from rock, prog, blues-rock, alternative, indie, funk, crossover, and reggae. All of these styles are performed by top drummers and mixed specifically for The Kit.

■Sound Design with DECOMPOSE
A sound designer's dream come true. Decompose lets you easily separate imported samples into their ""tone"" and ""noise"" components. Once separated, simply drag and drop each part onto a pad in Groove Agent, and the possibilities are endless. For example, imagine mixing an 808 kick tone with 909 noise, or an electro-snare with live hi-hat noise.

■Pitch Changes: Add New Life to Your Samples
Create exciting drum sounds by altering the pitch envelope of your samples. This is especially useful for creating EDM drops and buildups, or adjusting the pitch of recorded drums. When combined with the Decompose function, you can modulate the pitch of the drum tone and noise components separately, allowing for a new approach to assembling drum sounds.
